Cherish Hearts rules

What Hearts are

Cherish Hearts are our thank-you to the families who work with us. You do not need to sign up. If you have paid us for a session or for doula support, you have Hearts, and you can see them any time in your portal.

How you earn them

You earn one Heart for every dollar you pay us, whole dollars only, after any discount. Hearts from a new payment appear as pending first and become available 30 days later, which protects both of us if a payment is refunded.

Sessions from before the program existed count too. We added those Hearts for you by hand from our records.

What Hearts can become

Hearts go toward a new booking, never toward a session you have already booked or an invoice for one. You choose how many to use when you book in the portal, in steps of 100: every 100 Hearts takes $2 off, so 1,500 Hearts is $30 and 5,000 Hearts is $100. There is no maximum reward and nothing is wasted, since whatever you do not use stays in your balance. Our team can apply the same credit to the invoice for a new session.

Hearts and any returning-client discount together can cover up to 20% of one order. Whatever you do not use stays in your balance.

Until September 18, 2026 you could also claim one extra edited image from a gallery for 500 Hearts. That reward has ended. Images already claimed stay yours.

When Hearts expire

Hearts are good for 12 months from the day they become available, including the Hearts we added by hand for sessions from before the program. Your portal always shows the exact dates, and we email you before anything expires.

Referrals

Your portal has your own referral link. When a new family books through it and completes a paid portrait session, you receive 2,500 Hearts. For a completed birth photography or doula booking you receive 10,000 Hearts. Referral Hearts follow the same rules as all other Hearts.

The Cherish Fund

You can give Hearts to the Cherish Fund, which pays for doula and photography support for families in the New York area who could not otherwise afford it. Every donated Heart becomes 2 cents in the fund, and the fund is spent only on YourCherish services for those families.

A donation is final and is not tax-deductible. The families we sponsor are never named publicly.

What Hearts are not

Hearts have no cash value. They cannot be exchanged for money, transferred to another person, sold, or combined across accounts, and they are not a gift card or a stored balance of your own money.

Changes to the program

We may change these rules or close the program. If we do, we will email you first and give you reasonable time to use the Hearts you already have. If a booking is cancelled or refunded, the Hearts it earned are removed.

Email and unsubscribing

We send a small number of emails about your Hearts, such as an expiry reminder. Every one of them has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing never affects your balance.
